Tessa graduated from Melbourne’s La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 1994 and obtained her Masters in Sports Physiotherapy with a distinction in 2004.  She has more than 20 years of clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries, back and neck pain.

In 2004 her Masters’ research into massage was published in the American College of Sports Medicine’s official journal.  

​

She has practised all over the world from India to Great Britain, working with many sporting teams including English Premier League club Chelsea F.C, the English National Rugby League, the English National Ballet School and the Australian Women’s Squash Team.

 

Over the past few years Tessa has incorporated Visceral Manipulation into her practice which has allowed her to have a more holistic approach to the management of complex pain and injury.  She obtained certification in Visceral Manipulation from the U.S based Barral Institute.  She combines an evidenced based musculoskeletal approach with manual release techniques directed to the front of the body. This unique treatment strategy helps patients to achieve their best outcomes.

Tessa was a state level squash player and has run several marathons and ultra marathons. She has a special interest in biomechanics, training advice and injury prevention.
