ACKER
Osteopath
Bachelor of Science (Osteopathy)
Masters Of Health Science (Osteopathy)
Michelle adopts a holistic, evidence-based approach to care, integrating joint manipulation, soft tissue therapy, dry needling, patient education, and individualised exercise prescription. With a background in Osteopathy and Physiotherapy, and experience working alongside the Bayside Sports Medicine team and within the Hawthorn AFLW program, she brings valuable insight from both clinical and high-performance environments.
She has developed extensive experience in managing conditions affecting the spine, sacroiliac joint, and pelvis, with a particular interest in running-related injuries. Her personal background in athletics, soccer, and distance running underpins a strong understanding of biomechanics and the physical demands of sport.
Michelle is also passionate about exercise rehabilitation, particularly through Pilates, to support optimal movement and long-term outcomes.
Michelle has a key clinical interest in post-partum care, providing comprehensive assessments—including pelvic floor and abdominal evaluations—to guide a safe and effective return to exercise. She delivers tailored, progressive programs designed to restore strength, confidence, and long-term physical resilience.
She is committed to ongoing professional development, with further training in women’s pelvic health and clinical Pilates, and works collaboratively with pelvic health and musculoskeletal physiotherapists to integrate assessment findings into functional rehabilitation.
