Katie McKean is a Dietician who joined our team in March 2016. She graduated from the Masters of Dietetics at Deakin University, after previously completing a Bachelor in Food Science and Nutrition. Since graduating, Katie has gained experience in both the private practice and clinical setting, as well as providing group education sessions.

Katie is a huge believer in balance and believes a wide and varied diet is paramount to health. To Katie, healthy eating encompasses much more than just the food you put in your mouth and she is passionate about helping people establish a positive relationship with food.

Katie has a specific interest in gastrointestinal disturbances, including irritable bowel syndrome and food intolerance management, as well as IBD and gastrointestinal surgeries. Her other areas of expertise include; diabetes prevention and management, cardiovascular disease prevention and management, endurance sports nutrition and women’s health.
