WHAT WE DO
Focused treatment for the individual by Tessa Hinds and Sarah Golding and their team of some of Melbourne’s most experienced physiotherapists and allied health practitioners. All of our professionals have worked extensively with sports people, outdoor enthusiasts, fitness and wellness enthusiasts from all levels of ability and a massive diversity of disciplines. If you want to get better and then perform better then you are in safe hands.
Our Physiotherapists are highly trained to assess and diagnose your condition, then plan and administer treatment programs to restore function to the highest possible level. We use a combination of manual therapy, soft tissue techniques, dry needling, Clinical Pilates, education, lifestyle advice, and tailored strength and conditioning programs.
Our Physiotherapists are accredited members of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and for Patients’ convenience, we have a HICAPS facility that enables fast health insurance claims on the spot.
Remedial Massage is a clinically-oriented healthcare option that helps alleviate the discomfort associated with every day and occupational stresses, muscular over-use and many pain conditions. Our massage therapists are qualified to perform everything from a relaxation massage to deep tissue or sports massage and will discuss with you what it is that you feel will give you the best results.
All Remedial Massage Therapists at Bayside Sports Medicine Group have completed a diploma qualification and are therefore eligible for private healthcare rebates.
Our Accredited Sports Dietitian is trained to help you separate fact from fiction and give you practical advice to achieve your optimal self. Dietitians are trained to give food and nutrition advice to help improve your general health or tailor plans for specific sporting activities.
During your initial appointment, our Accredited Dietitian will talk through any medical conditions, symptoms you would like to resolve, work/family/training commitments, body composition goals and health/nutrition goals. We will then go through your current eating patterns. Using this background information, we will provide strategies to help you achieve your goals and a meal plan to get you started.
Our Clinical Rehab classes are based around the clinical pilates model. It is a form of exercise guided by our Physiotherapists for rehabilitation, prevention of injury and performance. Our clinical pilates is instructed on a one to one or small group basis using reformer, springboard and floor based exercises as well as some free weights, resistance bands to develop and train the deep abdominal and spinal muscles to provide stability, strength and flexibility.
The AlterG treadmill is a piece of physical therapy equipment that is a highly effective athletic conditioning tool for both recreational and competitive athletes by allowing the user to train longer, run faster, gain additional strength, and enhance cardiovascular performance while minimising impact and stress on their joints.
Bayside Sports Medicine Group strives to enhance health and maximise your full potential.
